Aliens, Demons, and King!

So...I'm starting a new novel, although I shouldn't really say new because I've never actually finished one. I've written a pretty good collection of short stories though. It's about the single most scary thing any human being can imagine...aliens!
I can't say exactly when my fear of aliens escalated, maybe it was when I heard it spoken by Bush, anything from that man is scary. No, I'm not talking about ILLEGAL aliens, I'm talking about those tall green guys with huge eyes, you know, the one's that like to talk on baby monitors... Aliens have freaked me out for the longest time, and I once spent three straight hours researching supposed real abductions and crop circles, and I couldn't sleep that night. Every time I turned over I was sure Mr. Grey would be leaning over me, mayonnaise and bacon smeared cross his cheeks like a devil grin while he incapacitated me, a little irrational, I know, but it felt legit at the time.
So the new book is about them, it'll have all of the most scary "true" stories that I can find online all comprised to happen to one character in a fictionalized way. I really kinda feel bad for my character already, he's just a security guard...what did he ever do wrong? I think i'll let him live though, it just seems too harsh to kill someone by aliens, too scary.
Let me know if you disagree with my fear of aliens, because truly I can think of nothing scarier!
Now, onto demons. Most recently used in the film Paranormal Activity, demons also have a certain horror force field around them that makes them worse then other scary monster and I'm pretty sure that this is because of their relation to religion. Religion is scary, bottom line. If you believe in the almighty power you MUST believe in the opposite. The demon is scary because it is real. You know that and you are afraid. The movie Paranormal Activity did a great job at showing how unbelieving people come to act when they are being haunted by a demon. I won't spoil anything but the film leaves every person with a dread of being alone, which is probably the reason for the tagline "Don't watch it alone", too late, I already made that mistake. Overall, it's a great film and it portrays the demon best by not showing it at all, we'll let our imaginations wonder...

So, the greatest writer of all time, Stephen King, has a new novel coming out soon, Under the Dome, and I just had to give a shout out to that!
